From January 2025, selected Torqeedo outboards will be available in eight European countries for the first time through the Yamaha dealer network – following Yamaha’s acquisition of Torqeedo in April 2024.
Adding Torqeedo’s electric outboards to its range gives Yamaha customers additional options to reduce the carbon footprint of their applications. Yamaha also continues to explore multiple technology solutions, including electric, sustainable and alternative fuels such as hydrogen, to decarbonize the marine industry.
From January 2025, a selected range of Torqeedo outboards will be available in the UK, Ireland, Switzerland, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Spain and Portugal. The range will include the Travel Ultralight (1-3hp equivalent), the Travel Family (2-5hp equivalent), ideal for smaller boats up to two tons, and the more powerful Cruise models (6-25hp equivalent) for larger boats up to 12 tons.
Founded in 2005 near Munich in Germany, Torqeedo is known for its range of electric outboard and inboard motors, hybrid systems and high-capacity batteries.
