The Oasis Power Buoy is an offshore charger for electric and hybrid vessels. It plugs in to the grid at an offshore wind farm and provides green electricity for Crew Transfer Vessels and Service Operation Vessels to maintain the wind farm.
Oasis also provides buoys and charging solutions for Emergency Response Vessels offshore as well as nearshore ‘hotel load’ charging for all sizes and types of vessels, moored outside ports and waiting to transit major waterways.
In future our buoys will provide charging facilities at offshore wind farms for passing shipping. This will allow all types of vessels to convert to hybrid or fully electric propulsion, and recharge as they travel past wind farms, saving millions of tonnes of CO2 per year globally, decarbonising the worldwide marine industry.
